A Sustainable Revenue Model for Music Investment

BlockSound generates earnings through a system integrated with the BlockSound App API, similar to the ad revenue model. The platform utilizes an external API connected to the BlockSound App's in-app advertising system, which ranks songs based on how often they are played. As songs climb the rankings in the BlockSound App, they generate royalties, which are distributed to BlockSound token holders.

Play-Based Royalties

The BlockSound App's remuneration system works by paying royalties per play, similar to traditional streaming services. These royalties can be allocated to either the recording artist or the licensor (record label or distributor) that uploaded the music. Each play generates a small amount of revenue, typically ranging from $0.001 to $0.01, depending on the day. Therefore, the more a song is played on the BlockSound App and climbs the ranking charts, the higher the return in royalties for BlockSound token holders.

Additional Revenue Streams

In addition to play-based royalties, BlockSound earns revenue through partnerships with third parties who pay to promote songs within the platform, similar to how ads are ranked in AdSense. This additional revenue stream helps ensure that artists and BlockSound token holders receive a competitive return on their investments.

Predictable Earnings for Investors

For BlockSound token holders, the conversion of earnings is defined by a fixed launch value to maintain consistency. This ensures predictability and transparency. A specific number of points earned through play-based royalties and ranking services can be converted to a set dollar amount. This allows investors to estimate potential returns on their BlockSound token investments.

Combined Revenue Model

By combining play-based royalties with revenue from ranking services, BlockSound creates a robust and predictable financial model. This innovative approach positions BlockSound as a profitable solution within the music market, benefiting both artists and investors.
